Are you passionate about fashion and eager to be part of the buzz at New York Fashion Week? FDLA Fashion Academy is thrilled to introduce the Backstage Designers Assistant Program, a fantastic opportunity for aspiring fashion enthusiasts. Limited space. This program aims to prepare volunteers with a comprehensive understanding of the backstage environment and the skills to assist designers during FDLA Fashion Shows. By completing the program, students will be thoroughly prepared to support designers backstage and earn a coveted spot on the backstage staff team for the prestigious FDLA Fashion Show, a New York Fashion Week highlight. Through this program, students will acquire the essential skills to effectively support designers by troubleshooting common issues, communicating with designers and teams, and mastering the art of models' dressing, steaming, and last-minute alterations and fit adjustments before the show. BACKSTAGE DESIGNERS' ASSISTANT PROGRAM Class Duration: 6 Weeks + Bonus 4 Days - NYFW Volunteering The Backstage designers’ Assistant Program is a hybrid program incorporated of both online for flexibility and in-person learning. Starting August 1st through August 29th Thursdays from 7-9pm Online in Person Thursday September 5th from 2-8pm Once Completed, students will immediately be placed to volunteer at the NYFW Shows the week of September 8-12.
